This is a salaried, professional and supervisory position providing direct supervision to the paraprofessional staff and social workers in the Justice Support Services (JSS) Section of the Human Services Department. Selection for this position will occur through a competitive process and will be led by the JSS Manager in consultation with a team and Human Services Director. The primary responsibility is ensuring staff are adhering to the guidelines established by the section and the department. Supervision includes intake, assessment, case planning and case management, the court process and assigned related programs. As a supervisor, this position provides administrative direction, case consultation and professional development of assigned social workers and other assigned staff. It is responsible for ensuring continuity and effectiveness of the Unit's services in conformity with the section and agency's policy and procedures. The position requires some evening and weekend hours as staff being supervised work those hours.
