Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company is expanding our Human Resources team and is looking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support our 700+ employee manufacturing facility in Mason City, IA. This onsite role reports to the HR Manager and partners closely with site leadership and the Director of HR. As a key member of the local HR team, you’ll support the full employee lifecycle while helping drive engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. HR certifications a plus
  • Experience managing employee relations, leave programs (FMLA, STD, LTD), and confidential information.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems (SuccessFactors, ADP, eTime a plus)
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple roles and levels.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools (Teams), and emerging AI tools.
  • Ability to support flexible schedules and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Champion HR programs across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, safety, attendance, learning and development, diversity, and employee experience.
  • Lead and support onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives, including CARE meetings, surveys, the PEER Program, and related action planning.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees by providing day-to-day HR guidance and addressing employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts, helping improve retention and reduce reliance on staffing agencies.
  • Analyze HR metrics (KBI/KPI) to identify trends and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Support morale, recognition, and community involvement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to support process improvement and special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
