About The Position

As the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll support our corporate Category Enablement and Exclusive Brands teams. You will act as a strategic partner to the business by integrating corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work. You’ll provide professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal business groups with the objective of adding value to the business. In this role, you’ll drive business outcomes by shaping requests and fulfilling unmet needs while operating with moderate supervision. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders and business partners
  • 5 years of experience in human resources, employee relations or talent management
  • Proven experience building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate with employees at various levels

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resource management, public administration, psychology or education
  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • 1 year of experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders in a large, matrixed organization
  • Experience with change management and organizational effectiveness
  • Experience working with international/global business teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify gaps, surface opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve business and talent outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Employee Relations and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated solutions that address business needs and support consistent employee experiences
  • Partner with leaders to coach, develop, and upskill their leadership capabilities, enabling stronger talent decisions, improved employee engagement, and greater organizational effectiveness
  • Apply business acumen and HR technical expertise to identify and address gaps in business unit activities
  • Apply data and analysis to help leaders make informed talent and business decisions
  • Translate strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful talent strategies
  • Lead supply and demand analysis of the current and future people and skills needs of the organization
  • Track trends in employee behaviors and needs (turnover, engagement, etc.) and recommend solutions
  • Provide expertise on the implementation of new organizational structures and processes to increase overall effectiveness
