Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Senior Human Capital Insights (HCI) Analyst to join our high-performing organization. In this role, you’ll help shape talent strategies by delivering actionable people insights that drive meaningful conversations across the enterprise. As a Senior HCI Analyst, you will: - Partner with team members and stakeholders to identify data and analytics needs. - Transform complex data into compelling stories for executive audiences. - Guide leaders in interpreting results, discussing implications, and enhancing data literacy. - Serve as a trusted authority on HR data and reporting, bringing creativity and innovation to new solutions. How you'll spend your time… Provide insights and recommendations based on data observations. Independently lead a variety of efforts to ensure HCI is an active participant in various projects. Maintain understanding of all HR management system (HRMS) modules and provide support on any data set as required. Identify and implement standardized processes for reporting and analysis Use multiple tools and systems to produce reports in response to requests from clients. Consult with requesters to verify business needs and clarify requirements. Identify appropriate data sources, develop and test queries, perform quality verification of data to ensure accuracy, and provide products within agreed time frame. Identify data issues through analysis and collaboration with key partners. Define data audit procedures and requirements, design audit queries, and perform scheduled audits. Raise all identified data or system issues to the appropriate person(s) for resolution. Research system issues and data trends. Use statistical programming and data visualization software. Lead incoming requests through intake process and engage with clients to ensure understanding of and alignment with requirements. Analyze requests and delegate work as appropriate. Identify and help implement solutions for enhanced operations, processes, and products to elevate team and business performance and to enable data-driven decisions. To be successful in this role, you will have... Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of experience in working with data analysis, reporting, or consulting Post-secondary education and related experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience. Excellent ability to collaborate, understand requests and communicate results and recommendations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with organizing and running project plans.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Education or training focused in HR, Analytics, Math, Finance, Statistics, Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Behavioral Sciences or similar
  • Experience with HR Analytics and HRMS (Workday preferred)
  • Experience with data manipulation and visualization (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Experience with statistical programs (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
