About The Position

Tiara Yachts - Market & Customer Insight Analyst 725 East 40th Street, Holland, MI. 49423 Drive Tiara’s market momentum by translating data into a clear path for what’s next. You will serve as our lead navigator, transforming customer expertise and deep-market data into a decisive competitive advantage for our brand. Tiara Yachts is proudly based in Holland, Michigan, where our yachts are designed, built, and refined on site. Our success comes from close, day-to-day collaboration across teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role is expected to be on site Monday through Friday to support that collaboration (remote or hybrid work is not available). We have plenty of data; what we need is clarity. We’re looking for a Market & Customer Insight Analyst who can connect the dots between quantitative data (CRM, market share, dealer performance, lead funnel, product mix) and real-world human insight (customer conversations, feedback, sentiment, and what’s happening in the market). You will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy by analyzing behavior, preferences, and emerging trends to uncover actionable insights that drive growth. This role is perfect for someone who loves digging in, building clean dashboards, and telling a story people actually understand. We need someone who can sit with sales, marketing, and product teams and be a trusted partner, not just “the spreadsheet person.”

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience turning data into insights and action (business, marketing, finance, analytics, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills: High proficiency with complex formulas, pivots, Power Query/Power Pivot, clean modeling practices, and building tools others can use.
  • Analytical storytelling: Experience building dashboards and explaining insights to non-technical audiences (Power BI preferred; Tableau, Birst, or similar welcome).
  • Comfort with basic stats and analytics: Familiarity with concepts such as sampling, correlation, segmentation, trends, and avoiding misleading conclusions.
  • Strong communication and presence: Ability to clarify ambiguous questions and present clear, actionable recommendations without overwhelming stakeholders.
  • Collaborative style: Enjoys working across marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams while bringing others along with the “why.”
  • Industry curiosity: Genuine interest in the boating industry and motivation to learn our customers, culture, and competitive landscape.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong research skills, including online research, trend tracking, and competitive intelligence.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strategic, detail-oriented, and organized, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Technical proficiency (required): Advanced Excel and BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Birst, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and an interest in responsible use (privacy, security, ethics).

Responsibilities

  • Customer Advocacy: Analyze behavior, sentiment, and purchasing trends using both quantitative data and qualitative feedback such as customer interviews.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive analyses using market share data to compare our pricing, features, and positioning against the rest of the industry.
  • Dealer Partnership: Manage quarterly dealer scorecards, tracking market share and goal achievements to help our partners succeed.
  • Strategic Growth: Identify and help source leads that match our ideal customer profile to support targeted outreach and product launch strategies.
  • Trend Spotting: Monitor industry benchmarks and emerging technologies to anticipate what our customers will want in their next model.
  • Building analytic muscle: Help establish a data-driven mindset across the organization, not just maintain existing systems.
  • Using analytics to guide decisions (without overcomplicating it): Apply segmentation, trend analysis, and light statistical thinking to answer real questions as to what’s driving demand, what’s changing, and what we should do next.
  • Supporting Product Launches: Act as a liaison between executive leadership, sales, marketing, and product development to help define future model features. You will also help organize and manage dealer training programs.
  • Protecting Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across internal systems and public-facing platforms.
  • Advocating for Ethics: Promote responsible use of analytics and AI, keeping customer privacy, security, and trust at the forefront.

Benefits

  • Direct impact: This is not a “ticket-taking” role, you’ll be at the forefront of establishing data and analytics as a core decision-making tool.
  • Modern tools: We believe in equipping you with the tools and support needed to do great work.
  • Growth & learning: We support continued learning, whether through certifications, training, or skill development.
  • A team that values people skills: We value curiosity, approachability, and partnership, not someone who disappears into dashboards all day.
