About The Position

The Senior HR Manager is an experienced HR professional who balances day-to-day execution with operational rigor. This role has owned core HR workflows across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, performance cycles, compliance, compensation, benefits, and onboarding. The ideal candidate knows what it takes to run programs cleanly and keep a growing team supported. Partnering directly with the Head of G&A, this role will be the hands-on engine behind the People function. The individual will look at practical HR challenges and design clear, reliable processes that keep things running smoothly. They will understand how data, policy, and team needs intersect, and enjoy turning strategy into reliable, well-executed operations. This role thrives as a solo operator within a collaborative G&A team, seeing full ownership as an opportunity to move fast, take initiative, and run the HR function with a high degree of autonomy. The individual will notice when a policy needs updating, a manager needs coaching, or a workflow needs streamlining, and proactively drive the solution. They will be a trusted partner who comfortably navigates sensitive matters with leaders, Finance, and Legal, bringing clarity, empathy, and structure to the team every day. This role is remote within the United States, with a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Occasional travel to the San Francisco office is included based on business and team needs.
