Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and HR Generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws including FMLA, Worker Compensation, Equal Employment Opportunity, ADA, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and independently drive tasks, projects, and solutions forward.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex HR and benefits information to employees, leaders, and cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, CEBS) are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Benefits & HR related projects and initiatives, including program implementations, process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and improve employee experience.
  • Ensure data accuracy within HRIS systems that directly impact the integrity of our reporting.
  • Support annual open enrollment processes, including communications, employee education, and system setup/testing.
  • Assist with benefits audits and help identify discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and benefits regulations including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related requirements.
  • Provide overall HR operational support and assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding, off-boarding, status changes, and other employee lifecycle processes within HRIS systems.
