About The Position

Lovet Pet Health is seeking an Senior Animal Hospital Supervisor to join our team! The Senior Hospital Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day hospital needs are met. The Senior Hospital Supervisor takes an active role in training and recruitment of staff and works collaboratively with staff, doctors, and hospital leadership to reach the hospital’s cultural, financial, and operational goals. The Senior Supervisor also works directly with the Hospital Manager to manage the hospital staff and financials. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory customer experience required.
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a brand ambassador, always exhibiting the Lovet core values.
  • Ensures teammates adhere to core values during shifts.
  • Ensures adherence to all Lovet policies and procedures, workflows, and protocols.
  • Follows all regulatory guidelines and requirements to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment.
  • Assists with completion of hospital billing, payment plans, deposits, and accounts receivable for the hospital.
  • In collaboration with the HRBP, ROM and HM, creates a high-performance culture within the hospital.
  • Recruits, selects, trains and develops, and recognizes staff in alignment with overarching Lovet people and culture strategy as needed.
  • Works with HRBP and HM/ROM to resolve all people related needs and continuously reinforce core values at all levels within the hospital.
  • Provides training and mentorship to staff in all hospital positions utilizing the Lovet training protocols and operational best practices.
  • Provides feedback in-the-moment during hospital training and documents training feedback and updates.
  • Performs training check-ins at key milestones (30, 60, 90 days).
  • Works with the Hospital Manager or ROM on any performance management needs during or after the training period.
  • With Talent Acquisition team and HM, creates a “white glove” recruitment experience for all associate DVMs.
  • Assists hospital manager/ROM with staff and doctor scheduling to ensure workforce planning needs are met.
  • Covers hospital positions as needed.
  • Ensures all client appointments are in accordance with Lovet guidelines.
  • Ensures internal and external specialty schedules are followed.
  • Oversees client appointment scheduling and hospital flow to ensure proper room time and patient flow expectations are met.
  • Under the direction of the Hospital Manager/ROM, oversees hospital ordering, receiving, and inventory.
  • Maintains proper levels of drugs and supplies based on Lovet standards.
  • Acts as a steward of resources, ordering responsibly and adhering to Lovet product best practices.
  • Delivers on the Lovet Experience by finding creative ways to work patients into daily schedules.
  • Works with CRS team to fill cancelled appointment slots for all services, including grooming, as needed.
  • Under the Lovet Experience guidelines, uses Lovet de-escalation techniques when receiving client complaints.
  • Escalates client complaints to manager as needed to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Regularly walks the floor in the treatment area and lobby to inspire, motivate, and engage staff.
  • Builds and fosters strong relationships with hospital staff through ongoing, clear communication, and approachability.
  • Assists with exam room observations as needed/requested.
  • Works collaboratively with other hospitals to ensure each pet receives superior clinical and medical care.
  • Checks individual and hospital email throughout the hospital shift.
  • Responds to individual and hospital emails in accordance with Lovet communication standards.
  • Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of all hospital equipment, supplies, and hospital instruments.
  • Assists the Hospital Manager/ROM with the implementation of new policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Assist with the organization, coordination, and facilitation of hospital meetings.
  • Assists with timecard changes and approvals as needed.
  • Assists the Hospital Manager/ROM with support throughout each stage of the employee life cycle as needed. This includes the hiring, orienting, training, and performance management of hospital staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
