The Dispatch Supervisor will be a Subject Matter Expert in all routing protocols.

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to graduation from High School, or GED equivalent; some College preferred demonstrating strong organization and change management skills
  • One year of Operations and Leadership experience required, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects and Team Members simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • One to Three Years with Stericycle
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio, Outlook, and Access, Descartes, S4, Salesforce
  • Demonstrates understanding of Service Logistics, including routing and routing best practices
  • Demonstrates strong business vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills.
  • SmartxChange  system knowledge and skills  are required.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch Support:
  • Supports the field Hospital Services group within assigned territories and ensure that all projects and initiatives are planned and delivered to the outcomes. This includes:
  • Ensure compliance with “Hos Service SOP”, field service initiatives, captures and tracks their specific financial impact/strategic value contributions
  • Effectively manage and maintain reports and dashboards for the Hospital Services team that monitor KPI’s for Service performance and escalate opportunities as needed.
  • Provide hands on trainings, coaching, and support to service techs, supervisors and managers by being a Subject Matter Expert on all re-routing areas of responsibility.
  • Develop relationships with Hospital service team and establish a partnership that provides honest and accurate feedback
  • Keeps all service techs,  in the districts informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the company by conducting professional, organized and participative meetings
  • Planning
  • Lead the coordination to define the re-route requirements and scope for Service supervisors and managers responsibilities in district
  • Monitor routes to ensure “optimal” use of assets (Headcount/containers over day) to improve service efficiency.
  • Conduct “Site” visits to review areas of opportunity
  • Schedule tasks, deadlines, and key milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Reporting
  • Meets with Hospital Service Director, Service manager and supervisor on a regular basis to communicate progress and discuss issues.
  • Resolves issues with the appropriate level of management.
  • Effectively manages “re-route” by building consensus about the necessity to change the original service plan.

  • Partner with Hospital Service Director, Service Managers, Service supervisors and techs  to ensure organizational savings goals are met.

  • Review services hours to ensure overtime hours are necessary and all employees are working efficiently

  • Recommend promotions, transfers and dismissals
  • Coach employees on educational and job opportunities, to enhance career development and keep them informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and the company by conducting team meetings
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
