About The Position

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer/Project Manager with experience in managing multidisciplinary projects for clients such as PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. The role involves supporting highway design projects executed in Pennoni offices throughout Pennsylvania, as well as supporting NJDOT and DelDOT projects. Key responsibilities include ensuring project performance in terms of schedule, cost, and scope, preparing supplements for scope/schedule changes, developing and executing quality management plans, and submitting progress reports and invoices. The position also involves mentoring and developing staff.

Requirements

• Experience in the development of winning Statement of Interest (SOI) and proposals for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other transportation entities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region.
• Licenses required: Professional Engineer – PA

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of PA Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) regulation and permitting process.
• Active participant in the professional associations such as ASCE, ASHE, PSPE, TRB, AASHTO, IBTTA and others.

Responsibilities

• Project Manager for multidisciplinary projects with PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Engineering disciplines will include structural/bridge, traffic /ITS, stormwater management, utilities and more.
• Support highway design projects for PennDOT being executed in Pennoni offices throughout Pennsylvania.
• Support NJDOT and DelDOT projects as required.
• Responsible project performance including schedule, cost and management of the scope of work, delivering on-time and within budget performance.
• Preparation of supplements when scope and/or schedule change attributed to unforeseen conditions.
• Prepare and execute project specific quality management plans.
• Prepare and submit progress reports and invoices as the Project Manager.
• Mentor and develop staff.
