Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Help Desk Specialist to support a major national laboratory. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate confidence in learning and adopting new technologies, effectively communicate complex ideas, and collaborate with IT development teams within an agile framework. This role involves providing superuser, technical, and system administration support for the IBM Maximo Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) software system, including creating/improving interfaces, developing SQL queries, configuring Maximo, and designing/maintaining custom electronic notification systems. Additional responsibilities include data collection and reporting for Maximo, technical and programming support for Zebra Industrial printers, and triaging and resolving software and process issues. The role also requires maintaining/designing SharePoint sites, creating/managing assets in Maximo, processing customer service requests, researching equipment status, developing documentation, conducting user training, and providing one-on-one coaching. The candidate should be confident in learning new technology, explaining complex ideas, and working within an agile approach with IT development teams. They should be motivated to identify and implement improvements, work independently, take on new challenges, and develop complex projects. The Senior Help Desk Specialist will also facilitate meetings in the absence of the Calibration Lead.
