About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic healthcare analytics team. In this critical role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated data solutions that support company operations and drive meaningful improvements in healthcare outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a thorough understanding of managed care concepts to deliver actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in data analysis, programming, or business intelligence roles
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience within the healthcare or managed care industry preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions
  • SQL Advanced – complex query writing, optimization, stored procedures
  • SSRS Advanced – report design, automation, and deployment
  • Tableau Advanced – dashboard development and data visualization
  • Microsoft Excel Advanced – pivot tables, complex formulas, macros
  • Visual Studio Proficient – development and debugging environment
  • XML Proficient – data exchange and integration
  • Access Databases / VBA Proficient – database design and automation scripting
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze healthcare data from enterprise data warehouse environments
  • Utilize SSRS to format and automate recurring reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Develop advanced Excel solutions to perform in-depth data analysis, identify patterns, and align results with Health Plan reporting templates
  • Leverage Tableau to create clear, user-friendly dashboards that translate complex data into meaningful visualizations for effective data presentation and stakeholder communication
  • Rely on data warehouse environments to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and management, supporting enterprise-wide reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within large volumes of healthcare data
  • Fosters a collaborative work environment by partnering with team members to achieve shared goals, drive continuous improvement, and consistently deliver high-quality, data-driven results.
  • Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
