About The Position

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are seeking a Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Solutions Architect to join our HCLS organization within AWS Industries. In this role, you will help shape and deliver our strategy for global HCLS customers and partners, partnering with some of the world's largest healthcare and life sciences companies to design cloud architectures that address their industry-specific business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. As a Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies — linking technology with measurable business value for healthcare and life sciences organizations. You will have technical depth, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the value of the AWS platform to Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs. You will craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures, assist organizations in understanding best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and help migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security). In collaboration with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem, you will formulate and execute strategies to build mind-share and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience

• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

Responsibilities

• Ensures success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform for Healthcare and Life Sciences customers.
• In partnership with account management, formulates and executes customer engagement strategies that drive meaningful cloud adoption outcomes.
• Builds prototypes, proofs of concept, and demonstration assets that showcase AWS capabilities — particularly in AI/ML, Generative AI, and data analytics — tailored to HCLS use cases.
• Educates customers on the AWS value proposition, participates in deep architectural discussions, and conducts enablement sessions that accelerate their path to production.
• Stays current on emerging AI/ML technologies and cloud-native patterns, translating that knowledge into actionable guidance, reference architectures, and customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Builds deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations, enabling them to become cloud advocates.
• Serves as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support, while capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge across the AWS Solutions Architect community.
