About The Position

In this role, you will oversee the creation and execution of health and education services and programs, while continuously assessing the needs of various health center programs throughout the City of Berkeley. You'll supervise professional and support staff within the City, and work closely with volunteers, school district staff, and students. You will also coordinate health services with other City departments and community-based organizations.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from a college or university with major course work in public health, health- or social-services related field, or health-related public policy.
  • Three years of experience as a health/social services professional.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities.
  • When driving on City business, a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year supervisory experience which has included budget and program development is desirable.
  • A master's degree in public health, business administration, public administration or a closely related field is highly desirable.
