  • Strong understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, and NASA workmanship standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing plans.
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters, hipot testers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Demonstrated experience building complex harnesses.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative, high-standards environment.
  • May be required to retain a TS clearance.

  • Ability to support light CAD work for layout and harness routing using SolidWorks Electrical, E3, or similar tools.
  • Previous experience in new product introduction or rapid prototyping environments.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings to build and troubleshoot complex harness assemblies independently.
  • Manufacture prototype and production harnesses, including shielded, twisted-pair, coaxial, high-voltage, and multi-branch harnesses, following work instructions and prescribed standards.
  • Install, route, and rework harnesses in mechanical assemblies, enclosures, and vehicles.
  • Perform continuity, resistance, insulation, and functional testing using test equipment and specialized in-process equipment.
  • Set up and operate manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic crimping tools to perform precision crimps according to IPC/WHMA-A-620 and MIL-spec standards.
  • Inspect and verify crimp quality using pull testing, crimp micrometers, and visual inspection under magnification.
  • Support First Article Inspection, development builds, rapid prototyping, and final acceptance of electrical harnesses.
