About The Position

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon's Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within the company. Our department is responsible for the design, development, integration, and lifecycle support of Raytheon's radar product portfolio. We are seeking a Senior Hardware Integration, Analysis & Test Engineer excited about the opportunity to sit at the intersection of radar hardware, firmware, software, and signal processing and make it all work together. Join a growing Integration & Test Suite (ITS) team whose common toolset currently supports more than six active radar programs across S-, C-, X-, and UHF-Band systems. If you're someone who gets more satisfaction from building a tool that eliminates a problem forever than from fixing the same issue over and over, this opportunity is for you.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years’ of prior relevant experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in two or more of the following areas: Radar system or subsystem integration, verification, and validation
  • Programming in MATLAB or C/C++
  • Microwave/RF system, subsystem, and/or Circuit Card Assembly design or test
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IQ and signal processing analysis in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or equivalent
  • Experience with Linux and Git
  • Experience with Radar Receiver/Exciter design and/or design verification testing
  • Familiarity with radar system troubleshooting, root cause identification, and corrective action documentation
  • Technical background in high-speed data converter test/characterization, radar system calibration, digital signal processing, cascade analysis, or frequency planning
  • Exposure to AI/ML models or statistical process control concepts
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a small, collaborative technical team

Responsibilities

  • Write, use, and maintain software that controls, tests, and characterizes real radar hardware — from module level all the way to system integration.
  • Dig into RF and IQ data to find the root cause of hard problems — the kind where the answer isn't obvious and the stakes are real.
  • Perform Receiver/Exciter hardware, software, and firmware design verification tests across multiple radar bands and programs and figure out what the data is telling you.
  • Build data analysis tools that give engineers and technicians answers faster — and eventually, building Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning tools do some of the heavy lifting.
  • Work directly with hardware designers, firmware developers, software and systems engineers — you'll need to speak all four languages.
  • Hands on hardware test and troubleshooting.
  • Own your work: if you build it, you'll support it, improve it, and teach others how to use it.
  • Operate across multiple Raytheon sites and interface directly with program engineering, production, and systems teams.

Benefits

  • Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
  • Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
  • Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
  • Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
