About The Position

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineering Program Manager to drive the execution of hardware initiatives that enhance our member experience and product performance. This is a player-coach type role, involving both direct management and project management responsibilities. This role will lead cross-functional projects that span from supply resiliency efforts to full electromechanical redesigns. You will play a vital role in scaling innovation from concept to launch in collaboration with hardware, manufacturing, firmware, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in hardware product development
5+ years of industry experience in consumer electronics
Demonstrated success managing cross-functional hardware projects from development through launch
Strong understanding of product component development cycles, lead times, and sourcing processes
Experience communicating with Hardware, Firmware, Manufacturing, and external partners both domestically and internationally
Innovative, knowledgeable, and able to adapt to fast-paced changing requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effective stakeholder management

Responsibilities

Lead hardware engineering projects from kickoff through launch, focusing on performance, cost, and quality improvements.
Manage the engineering project management team dedicated to your program domain.
Build and maintain a portfolio view of continuous improvement projects, advising executive leadership on prioritization and team allocation based on varying business needs.
Drive the team to respond quickly to new supply chain shortages and to build resiliency into all programs.
Create and manage detailed project plans aligned with WHOOP goals, balancing timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
Coordinate engineering builds and iterative development activities with internal and external manufacturing partners.
Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuring timely decision-making and alignment.
Proactively identify and manage project risks and dependencies, driving resolution of technical and organizational blockers
Own and refine WHOOP’s Continuous Improvement Engineering process to enhance project execution and reliability.
