About The Position

SAIC seeks an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer. This position is in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Requirements

• Experienced Senior Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide site and lab maintenance support and troubleshooting to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems.
• Perform on site Emergency Depot Level Maintenance/Urgent Depot Level Maintenance (EDLM/UDLM) to resolve critical system issues affecting mission operations.
• Generate engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies.
• Perform maintenance on Line Reparable Units (LRUs) in a lab environment in accordance with established processes and in compliance with technical specifications.
• Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems.
