The engineer will develop and translate DFMEAs into virtual analysis test cases, provide guidance on global regulatory compliance, and develop Bill of Process (BOP) and Bill of Equipment (BOE). Responsibilities include driving the architectural design of innovative Battery cells and controls solutions, leading battery charging techniques to recover sulfated batteries, and identifying gaps in vehicle prognostic health metrics for 12V batteries. The position requires providing technical expertise to release high-performance and reliable battery products, coordinating with lab specialists and vehicle technical leads, and documenting lessons learned on battery failure modes. The role also supports cross-functional work to develop robust charge strategies, leads battery supplier manufacturing initiatives, conducts battery teardowns for defect documentation, and optimizes battery tester algorithms. The work policy is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.
