About The Position

DPP is seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a 12-month contract position, requiring the candidate to be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. The role is onsite in Englewood, CO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Typically 10 or more years of experience.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Advanced experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system modeling tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink, or C++.
  • Experience with related aerospace vehicles, sensors suites, and missions.
  • Experience with Guidance and/or Navigation algorithm development.
  • Exposure to vehicle stability principles, Monte Carlo and trajectory analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight dynamics.
  • History of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design and test algorithms, flight software, related hardware, design tools, and simulations for various aerospace vehicles.
  • Assess performance of vehicle flight qualities and capabilities by exploring complex GN&C algorithms and systems.
  • Perform design, development, evaluation, and testing of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
