DuckDuckGo
$178,500 - $178,500Remote

About The Position

DuckDuckGo, a remote-first online protection company with over 300 employees, is seeking a Senior Growth Marketing Manager for its Marketing & Communications team. This role will focus on driving profitable acquisition of paid subscribers and related projects to help millions protect their personal information. The company offers a culture of trust, inclusivity, and empowered project management, with a focus on end-to-end ownership. Recent projects include supporting new paid advertising initiatives, launching ad channel tests, and executing tests for new creative and messaging. The Senior Growth Marketing Manager will manage high-priority marketing campaigns, including planning, execution, testing, optimization, and analysis to drive profitable paid subscriber growth. This role is key to creating and executing a new marketing program for paid subscriptions, focusing on new channel testing, creative testing, and optimizing paid subscriber conversion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate that paid marketing growth and privacy-respecting advertising practices can be an advantage, utilizing aggregate measurement, experimentation, and strong judgment over user-level targeting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in paid acquisition for freemium consumer subscription apps preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with both strategic planning and execution in digital marketing platforms (app store ads, paid social, mobile app networks) to profitably scale app subscriber growth.
  • Hands-on expertise standing up paid subscription programs from scratch, with a track record of scaling subscriber growth profitably against LTV and payback — not just acquisition costs.
  • Experience driving subscription growth within an established, high-traffic product where subscription revenue is a secondary — not primary — revenue model, preferred.
  • Track record partnering with Engineering and Product to build and optimize landing pages, funnels, product experiences, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to execute highly complex and ambiguous projects, working across business strategy and marketing tactics.
  • Advanced analytical and measurement abilities, including app economics (payback, LTV), incrementality/lift testing, modeling, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can clearly articulate recommendations and rationale, whether verbal or written.
