The Senior Group Sales Manager is responsible for representing the company to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This role involves developing and performing all sales activities in an assigned market, listening to customer needs, analyzing information, and creating tailored proposals. The manager will negotiate and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets, provide quality and timely service, and work collaboratively with hotel and company management. This is a fully on-site position that develops strategy for and initiates potential business account interest, solicits and negotiates contracts for hotel business for a specific assigned market(s). The role involves developing sales plans to meet or exceed room night and other revenue goals, managing account details and contracts, communicating with operations departments, participating in servicing accounts, formulating sales proposals, leading on-site inspections, entertaining customers, and performing outside sales calls to develop leads. The Senior Group Sales Manager will also attend trade shows/events and make personal calls on customers, which may involve travel within the United States.
