About The Position

Phoenix is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead creative initiatives for their growth and marketing efforts. This role involves shaping the visual identity of Phoenix through campaigns that drive performance, tell human stories, and embody the company's mission across all channels. The designer will collaborate with Growth, Creative, and Product teams to produce impactful creative assets that capture attention and convert. The position requires a blend of artistic skill and strategic thinking, combining design intuition with data-driven results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a visual or marketing designer, preferably in a digital-first, consumer-facing brand.
  • Deep experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Proven ability to combine creativity with performance, producing work that is both visually appealing and results-driven.
  • Strong storytelling skills, understanding how design influences emotion, clarity, and action.
  • Highly collaborative nature with the confidence to take initiative in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Passion for building a meaningful brand that makes healthcare simpler, more human, and more accessible.
  • Passion for improving the Canadian healthcare experience, with a potential personal connection to the space.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and launch creative assets across paid, owned, and earned channels, including ads, landing pages, motion graphics, and social media content.
  • Develop a visual language for growth campaigns that aligns with Phoenix's brand while exploring new creative directions.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing to translate performance insights into design strategy, optimizing creative for engagement.
  • Build and maintain a scalable creative library organized by product, audience, and use case.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of creative projects, from ideation to iteration, using data to inform design decisions.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effective storytelling across all touchpoints.
  • Lead creative brainstorms and contribute to campaign strategy for major launches and initiatives.
  • Mentor junior designers and guide agency partners to ensure design excellence in external work.
  • Stay updated on design trends, DTC marketing best practices, and emerging digital storytelling formats.
