Senior Graphic Designer

Tilray Brands, Inc.
$60,000 - $80,000

About The Position

Tilray Brands, Inc. (“Tilray”) (Nasdaq: TLRY; TSX: TLRY), is leading global lifestyle and consumer packaged goods company with operations in Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and Latin America that is leading as a transformative force at the nexus of cannabis, beverage, wellness, and entertainment, elevating lives through moments of connection. Tilray’s mission is to be a leading premium lifestyle company with a house of brands and innovative products that inspire joy, wellness and create memorable experiences. Tilray’s unprecedented platform supports over 40 brands in over 20 countries, including comprehensive cannabis offerings, hemp-based foods, and craft beverages. The Senior Graphic Designer is the hands-on design lead for Tilray Beverages brand portfolio, including brands such as SweetWater, Montauk Brewing, Breckenridge Brewing, 10 Barrel Brewing, Shock Top and more, translating brand strategy into packaging, retail, campaign, and digital work that earns attention on a crowded shelf. Reporting to the Senior Creative Director, this role owns design execution end to end: from early concept exploration through final production files, in close partnership with brand managers, customer marketing, digital and social, and outside agency and print partners. We are looking for a designer with a strong point of view and the craft to back it up — someone equally comfortable designing branded merchandise, refining packaging in final dielines, and building a scalable system of assets that field and customer teams can use without breaking the brand. The role works daily with brand managers, customer marketing, and the digital and social team, and serves as a creative point of contact for external agency and production partners.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of graphic design experience in-house or at an agency, including work on consumer packaged goods brands.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual range, typographic skill, and finished craft across both packaging and campaign work.
  • Expert command of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of print production, including color separations, substrates, and pre-press requirements for packaging.
  • Proven ability to manage several projects at once in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to present and defend creative rationale to marketing and commercial stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with working with a team of fellow designers – collaborating on projects, maintaining organizational standards on shared file servers, offering and receiving feedback on graphics, handing off jobs and picking them up from others midstream.
  • Experience in beer, beverage, spirits, or another regulated category, with familiarity around label and alcohol marketing requirements.
  • Experience building and documenting brand identity systems and asset toolkits for distributed teams.
  • Serious packaging experience and familiarity with dielines, folding structures, printing techniques, and merchandising requirements in retail.
  • Experience with Esko for packaging renders.
  • Illustration or hand-lettering skills that add a distinct voice to brand work.
  • Additional skills in photography, videography, motion graphics, or web design are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design primary packaging, secondary packaging, and point-of-sale materials across the brand portfolio, from concept through print-ready mechanicals.
  • Prepare and review dielines, color builds, and production files with print vendors, and see work through press approvals to protect color and craft standards.
  • Extend and steward brand identity systems — typography, color, illustration, photography direction — so every touchpoint reads as one brand.
  • Partner with brand managers on new product launches and seasonal releases, contributing design thinking early rather than working from finished briefs.
  • Develop integrated campaign assets spanning social, digital, e-commerce, out-of-home, experiential activations , and point-of-sale for on-premise and off-premise touchpoints.
  • Support the digital and social team with a steady flow of on-brand content, including motion and animated formats where they elevate the work.
  • Art-direct photo and video shoots alongside the Senior Creative Director, including shot lists, on-set direction, and selection and retouching of final imagery.
  • Build templated toolkits and guidelines that let regional and customer marketing teams localize work quickly without diluting the brand.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects against launch calendars, flagging risks to timelines early and negotiating scope with clarity.
  • Brief, review, and provide direction to freelancers, agency partners, and junior designers, raising the quality bar through specific and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain organized, well-named working files and a disciplined asset library to ease seamless collaboration with the design team and make approved work easy to find and reuse.
  • Route work through legal, regulatory, and label-compliance review, building requirements into designs from the start rather than retrofitting them.
