NVIDIA is searching for a creative and highly motivated engineer with expertise in boot software to join the SOC System Software organization. This position offers the opportunity to have real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company impacting product lines ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and the growing field of artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in relevant roles.
  • Proficiency in bare-metal firmware development, particularly with PCIE, ACPI and ARM/RISC-V technologies.
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessors, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, DMA, etc).
  • Expertise in C programming languages, coupled with outstanding debugging skills.
  • Defensive security programming skills
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Boot Process intricacies on sophisticated SoCs.
  • Understanding of GPU software kernel driver and firmware
  • Experience in Pre-Silicon/Post-Silicon bring up of complex SoCs
  • Used GenAI based workflows for System SW development and debugging
  • Experience working with 3rd party SOC vendors and their software

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate SOC & GPU Boot and Security software across Automotive, Embedded, and Data Center platforms.
  • Participate actively in the new silicon lifecycle, spanning pre-silicon simulation/emulation to silicon power-on bring-up phases.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve issues within the Boot stack, ensuring detailed operation.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, software, and hardware design teams to enhance the next generation of NVIDIA System-on-Chips.
