About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring customers have continual access to innovation. This role is within the Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement (ISCaP) organization, which focuses on delivering cutting-edge solutions for socially responsible data center supply chains. The ISCaP team is composed of highly motivated professionals enabling the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS. The Senior Global Category Manager will identify, create, develop, and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure globally. This role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency, particularly for AI/ML PCBAs. It involves managing supply chain complexity during supplier and manufacturing line qualification, transitioning from development to Mass Production, and delivering component multi-sourcing strategies, pricing, and contract manufacturing to ensure supply chain resiliency for AWS's expanding AI/ML roadmap. The role will also lead line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development to ensure scalable PCBA manufacturing capacity at launch. AWS serves over a million active customers in more than 190 countries and is continuously expanding its global infrastructure to meet customer requirements for lower latency and higher throughput.

Requirements

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
• 5+ years of professional or military experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PCBA sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
• Understand industry and technology trends.
• Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives in those products.
• Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop negotiations strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationship with suppliers.
• Provide weekly core-team updates.
• Deliver executive level updates on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for vendor escalations in order to resolve any issues related to his/her category.
• Present to senior leadership via written narratives.
