Our Purpose We are looking for a Senior Global Account Manager to identify new opportunities and drive global go to market initiatives for new test instruments and solutions at strategic accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in RF, Board Test, Photonics and High-Speed I/O test and measurement and has a broad network of industry contacts. Our industry is in a very exciting phase. The demand for bandwidth and higher speeds is insatiable due to the ever more dominant cloud technologies and the rise of artificial intelligence. The Product Test Group is ideally positioned to enable the cost-effective testing of these emerging technologies and is an industry leader for high volume testing in validation and manufacturing. The recent acquisitions by Teradyne to enhance our portfolio is a testament to its dominance in the industry and a gateway for further growth. Opportunity Overview The Senior Global Account Manager will be responsible for direct management of select key accounts in consumer electronics, infrastructure, and semiconductor segments. In this role you will identify and develop new business opportunities, drive sales targets and define account strategies. The position is based in our San Jose headquarters and candidate must be located in this region.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, or engineering equivalent or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years working experience in the capital equipment, test and measurement field.
Direct customer engagement experience either in an applications engineering, product marketing, or account management role.
Direct experience with 1st tier Consumer and Automotive global accounts based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Technical expertise in testing, defining and designing RF, Board Test, Photonics, Highspeed I/O measurement solutions.
Strong network of optical communication customers world-wide, such as start-ups, established companies, to advanced research institutes and universities.
A desire to become a trusted advisor to customers and interfacing regularly with key technical contacts and building contacts at all levels of an organization.
Comfortable working autonomously while setting and achieving ambitious goals.
Excellent organizational, time management, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated and hard-charging individual to drive results.
Ability to work from office
Ability to travel to Asia or EU regions for account alignment with global sites; travel 15-20% mostly US based.

Responsibilities

Work to find growth opportunities in new accounts relative to our market segments.
Identify technology influencers and procurement personnel in target accounts and work with Teradyne sales management to drive winning strategies.
Work closely with application management teams to ensure timely and efficient technical support is delivered to the accounts.
Work across geographies to align opportunity information on a worldwide basis and ensure a consistent sales strategy is implemented at all touch points to the customer project(s).
