Requirements

6 to 10 years of related experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks and junior staff.
Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel and perform field work, even under inclement weather and physically demanding conditions.
Adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.
Willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, gINT, Slide/SlopeW, L-Pile, Group, Shake 2000/Deepsoil, GRL WEAP, DeepEX, Settle 3D, Phase2/Plaxis.

Nice To Haves

Experience on design/build projects is preferred.
HDD or Tunnel Design experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Direct junior staff to perform field activities including geotechnical drilling, laboratory testing and construction observations with subcontractors.
Coordinate geotechnical tasks and manage medium to large size geotechnical projects.
Review construction submittals and daily field reports.
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and prepare geotechnical reports for the design and construction of shallow and deep foundations.
Review work of and mentor junior staff.
Prepare contract specifications and drawings.
Interrelate with external clients and subcontractors.
Provide quality technical support on municipal, commercial, transportation, energy and water projects.
