About The Position

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager. The position will be based in Kleinfelder's Central Division Oklahoma location (Tulsa or Oklahoma City). The ideal candidate will coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs, manage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule, and safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support. This role involves mentoring and managing junior staff and project-level geotechnical professionals through project performance, performing and developing scopes for field and office tasks, and coordinating tasks and managing medium to large multi-disciplined projects with guidance. The role also includes preparing or reviewing designs, reports, and calculations on complex projects, with strong analytical skills in areas including soil and rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, construction support, soil improvement techniques, and materials testing knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License in Oklahoma and ability to be licensed in multiple states
  • Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed
  • Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check
