The position requires a Master's degree in Engineering Geology or Geological Engineering, with specific field experience in soil and rock logging, geologic mapping, site characterization, and paleoseismological trenching. The Senior Geologist will also be responsible for analyzing geologic data, interpreting findings, preparing reports, assisting with drilling operations, utilizing geologic software, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with other professionals. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior staff, business development, project management for multiple projects, supporting client technical needs, and participating in the development of exploration programs and site characterization studies. The Senior Geologist will also be involved in scope development, cost estimation, subcontractor procurement, and adhering to project schedules and deadlines. Research, data analysis, engineering geologic analyses, seismic source model development, and earthquake catalog preparation are key components of this position.
