About The Position

Applied Underwriters, Inc., a global risk services company, is seeking an experienced Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster with strong expertise in habitability claims. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload of commercial general liability claims, with a focus on complex habitability matters involving coverage, liability, and legal issues. Success in this position requires strong communication, investigation, and negotiation skills, along with a solid understanding of policy interpretation and negligence standards. This adjuster must also bring sound judgment and discretion to the sensitive nature of complex liability claims.

Requirements

• At least three years of general liability claims adjusting experience, including complex habitability losses.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
• Strong communication, investigation, and negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of policy interpretation and negligence standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial general liability claims, with a focus on complex habitability matters involving coverage, liability, and legal issues.
• Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate claims.
• Interpret policy language and apply negligence standards.
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive claims.
