GenAI DevOps Engineer /AI Engineer - Remote/Hybrid with Travel
About The Position
Seeking a Senior GenAI DevOps Engineer / AI Engineer with 10–15+ years of overall experience, including 6–8 years building AI agents and deploying them to production on AWS. The role combines AI agent development (approximately 60%) with DevOps and CI/CD engineering (approximately 40%). The position can be remote or hybrid, but the candidate must be located in a western time zone and be comfortable traveling to client sites for workshops and meetings. The engineer will develop agents using the Claude Agent SDK and Python or TypeScript, deploy them using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime, and build GitHub Actions pipelines for agent builds, testing, and deployments. The role also involves AWS configuration, container packaging, security, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of overall experience.
- 6–8 years building AI agents and deploying them into production on AWS.
- Hands-on GenAI or agentic AI development experience.
- Hands-on AI agent development with the Claude Agent SDK, beyond Claude prompting.
- Experience deploying agents and configuring runtime with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime.
- Ability to build CI/CD pipelines independently using GitHub Actions.
- Strong coding and API integration skills in Python or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of AWS Bedrock model integration and the AWS ecosystem.
- Must be located in a western time zone.
- Comfort with travel to client sites for workshops and meetings.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Docker, AWS ECR, and IAM.
- Experience building agents that use external tools through MCP and tool calling.
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Experience with CloudWatch, security, monitoring, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI agents using the Claude Agent SDK.
- Build agent workflows in Python or TypeScript, including tool calling, MCP integrations, and API orchestration.
- Deploy and manage AI agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime.
- Develop automated GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for agent builds, testing, and deployments.
- Configure AWS IAM, ECR, Docker/container packaging where applicable, and cloud security.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production AI agent performance.
- Implement secure authentication, logging, monitoring, and observability.
