Requirements

  • Proven Experience working with LLMs and in agentic AI (e.g., LangChain agents, tool use, memory)
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and context management
  • Skilled in deploying advanced evaluation metrics for agentic performance (e.g., task success, coherence, safety). Experience with evaluation tools (TruLens, RAGAS, LangSmith) and optimization techniques (LoRA, QLoRA etc.).
  • Experience with external API Integration and data transformation and integrating AI workflows into web applications or chatbots
  • DevOps skills to deploy and monitor AI agents in production
  • Track record of leading generative AI initiatives from concept to deployment
  • Strong coding skills; Proficiency in Python or Java

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure AI stack
  • Familiarity with PBM domain (claims, PA, formularies, etc.)
  • Experience integrating with healthcare APIs or HL7/FHIR systems
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and data security best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement autonomous AI agents to handle tasks like: Benefit explanation, Prior authorization (PA) reasoning, Drug alternatives search, Claim denial explanation
  • Integrate OpenAI models (GPT-4 or GPT-4o) or other LLMs with enterprise systems via REST APIs.
  • Build workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, Microsoft Semantic Kernel, or custom agents).
  • Create reusable prompt chains, tools, and routing logic based on user intent.
  • Collaborate with PBM SMEs to translate complex pharmacy logic into AI workflows.
  • Define error handling, logging, and fallback protocols for production safety.
  • Work with internal teams on compliance, PHI handling, and access control.
