About The Position

Tolleson Wealth Management is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. This role involves the accounting and administration of investment and private equity partnerships, including financial, tax, and regulatory reporting. The Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for preparing reconciliations, reviewing portfolio valuations, calculating NAVs, and preparing financial statements and regulatory filings. The position also involves assisting with capital activity, responding to investor communications, coordinating with third-party service providers, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will have fund accounting experience, a strong understanding of various investment instruments, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Fund accounting experience including private equity fund of funds (FOF) and /or hedge funds preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience ideally with public accounting experience
  • Experience in accounting software programs such as Archway preferred but not required
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Accounting experience in various investment instruments including equities, fixed income, futures, private equity, mutual fund investments and/or derivative products
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments within the firm and external service providers
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
  • Must consent to and have favorable consumer report and background check

Responsibilities

  • Work with Director, Fund Accounting on the accounting and administration of ~21 investment and private equity partnerships including financial, tax and regulatory reporting
  • Prepare reconciliations of fund cash and investment positions to the prime broker/custodian accounts and track fund level expenses, accruals, management fees, and advisory service fee
  • Review the fund portfolios valuation and calculate fund NAVs on monthly and quarterly basis
  • Input transactions into the general ledger and reconciliation of key accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Prepare Partnership GAAP basis financial statements
  • Work with on preparation of various partnership related regulatory filings
  • Assist with capital activity cash management for the ~17 private equity funds including contributions, distributions, capital calls and redemptions
  • Respond to investor communications and requests
  • Coordinate with and prepare supporting documentation for third party service providers, including audit and tax firms and internal tax team
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process efficiencies and improvements
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by management
