About The Position

Custom Software Systems, Inc. (CSS) is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to provide support for the Workday Finance application. This role involves troubleshooting production issues, configuring the application, and performing end-to-end testing of integrations, reports, and business processes. The analyst will support the production Workday environment, future releases, and the development of new solutions and enhancements. Responsibilities include analyzing user needs, defining functional requirements, managing application security, and participating in the software development lifecycle for various financial and HCM/CRM applications. The role also requires providing responsive support for production issues, assisting with project management and implementation, gathering requirements, designing and performing application setups, assisting with technical development, performing unit testing, and preparing documentation. Additionally, the analyst will support system administration, user training, documenting business processes, and providing guidance for process reengineering. Specific tasks include setting up/customizing Workflows and Self-Service modules, working effectively with HCM/CRM functional modules, utilizing XML/BI Publisher for reports, and administering HCM/CRM application security. The role also involves regression testing for upcoming Workday releases, partnering with stakeholders to define needs, analyze business processes, and design, test, and implement system solutions. Configuring business processes and functional areas in Workday Finance, researching and developing solutions for integration issues between Workday and Coupa, and managing biannual Workday updates are also key responsibilities. Documenting project deliverables such as requirements specifications, designs, and test results is essential.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in full SDLC for all task order applications and technologies.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ability to configure, implement, test, and document solutions in Workday Finance
  • Regression testing of the application and integrations for the upcoming Workday release
  • Excellent work ethic, communication, and organizational skills
  • Possess experience with integrations in Workday (Orchestrate, Studio, EIB, etc.).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related degree in the IT field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
  • Identify resources required for each task.

  • Participate with TS teams in the software development life cycle for the financials application, Procurement, Workflow, other financials products, and self-service applications.
  • Provide responsive support to production issues.
  • Perform project management or implementation assistance for new software products.
  • Process customer requests, gather requirements, design and perform application setups, assist with technical development, perform unit testing, and production setups.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation and provide efficient and effective solutions to meet business needs and maintain the validity of system controls and data integrity.
  • Provide support for system administration, implementations, user training, and documenting business processes.
  • Provide guidance and advice for process reengineering.
  • Set up/customize Workflows and Self-Service modules.
  • Work effectively as a team member and provide excellent support to client users.
  • Participate with TS teams in the software development life cycle for HCM and CRM applications and portals.
  • Work effectively with delivered HCM/CRM functional modules.
  • Utilize XML/BI Publisher for human capital management reports.
  • Perform project management tasks associated with the System Development Lifecycle.
  • Administer HCM/CRM application security.
  • Regression testing of the application and integrations for the upcoming Workday release.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to define needs, analyze business processes, and design, test, and implement system solutions.
  • Configuring business processes and functional areas in Workday Finance to meet organizational requirements.
