About The Position

The company has experienced significant growth in energy sales and aims to scale further to become a leading renewable energy company. This role involves building automation and tooling to streamline the process of signing large industrial energy customers. The focus is on creating a platform to automate complex aspects of pricing, usage forecasting, and contracting, aiming to achieve significant growth with a small sales team. The company is seeking exceptional product engineers who can contribute to this vision by shipping and iterating quickly, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to define product direction.

Requirements

Excel at building product end-to-end, from spec and data modeling to backend to frontend and product design.
Expert at learning and gathering requirements from stakeholders.
Very comfortable working with complex, large-scale data.
Strong Python backend skills - being able to debug production issues, set up alerting and observability, scale large parallel workloads, and do performance profiling.
Thrive in a startup environment where there’s ambiguity and the need to manage your own priorities and focus.

Responsibilities

Deep automation of our pricing, forecasting, and contracting platform.
Using AI to fully automate pricing from unstructured emails.
Scaling the processing of large-scale timeseries usage data.
Representing increasingly complex customer contracts.
Rapid expansion into new markets, handling new utilities, new datasets, and new pricing rules and algorithms.
