Senior Fullstack Engineer - Product Engineering

Product Engineers at Gather are responsible for designing and implementing features that enhance the virtual office experience for remote workers. They collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to iterate on features and product directions, with a focus on creating powerful tools and remote work features. The role requires strong coding skills, experience with Typescript and NodeJS, and the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to connect users and make remote work a great experience within Gather's platform.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to design, implement, and iterate on features and product directions
• Ability to quickly iterate on experiments while preventing technical lock-in
• Enable more powerful tools and remote work features to be used within Gather
• Level up meeting experiences and create opportunities for moments of serendipity for Gather users
• Write maintainable, clear, well-architected code, tests, and documentation
• Participate in code reviews and design reviews to ensure quality and good architecture
• Ability to ruthlessly prioritize in a chaotic and ambiguous environment
• A healthy tolerance for the balance between Doing Things Right and iterating and shipping quickly
• Experience working with Typescript and NodeJS
• A keen intuition for well-designed software and well-written code
• Intrinsic motivation and the drive to solve difficult problems without guidance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• 4+ years of experience working with Typescript, React, and Redux
• Scrappy, have a bias toward action, and love moving fast
• Enjoy spending time with customers and adept at getting to the root problems that your product is uniquely positioned to solve
