About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer. This is a Full-time, 12-month contract position with possible extensions, located in Charlotte, NC, requiring 3 days of hybrid on-site work. As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for defining technical architecture and roadmaps for enterprise application modernization, driving microservices design, REST API development, database strategy, and application performance optimization. You will also establish and enforce coding standards, engineering best practices, and AI-assisted development methodologies. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders, architects, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions, providing technical decision-making, risk assessments, and solution governance across multiple development teams. Additionally, you will support Agile delivery processes, ensure applications meet security, compliance, scalability, and maintainability requirements within a banking environment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting Governance, Risk, and Compliance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

Hands-on Java enterprise application development.
Experience building modern full-stack applications using React 18 and Java, with strong expertise in application architecture and design patterns.
Proven experience leading large-scale application modernization and digital transformation initiatives within enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful API development, SQL Server, performance tuning, and scalable application design.
Hands-on experience with Python and the ability to contribute across the full application stack.
Experience with cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with CI/CD pipeline implementation.
Working knowledge of Kafka or other event-driven messaging frameworks.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to improve engineering productivity.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, defining technical standards, and driving engineering best practices.
Ability to collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Prior experience within financial services, banking, governance, risk, or compliance domains is highly preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with availability to be onsite in Charlotte, NC three days per week.
This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting Governance, Risk, and Compliance transformation initiatives.
