About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Senior FullStack Developer who is ready to take on a Team Lead position soon and join an exciting, complex project. The project is an AI-powered platform for managing users, roles, and permissions. It handles identity verification (KYC/KYB), a rewards and points system, and integrations with CRM, accounting, and card-issuing tools. The platform is a complex system rather than a simple database application.

The team includes a Project Manager, Product Designer, two FullStack developers, and a Support Engineer. The role is remote and limited to Europe, with a preference for Western Europe because occasional on-site visits may be required; candidates from Eastern Europe will also be considered. The engagement is long-term, expected to last 6–12+ months, and is full-time at 40 hours per week. Client-facing communication requires Upper-Intermediate / B2+ English.

The technology stack includes Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, tRPC, PostgreSQL with pgvector via Drizzle ORM, Zod, NextAuth.js with Keycloak (OIDC/OAuth2), Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Docker, Azure Container Apps, Terragrunt, and GitHub Actions. The position includes responsibility for the project's DevOps work and participation in on-call and production support. As the role develops, the engineer will mentor other engineers and establish technical guardrails for non-engineering contributors who work directly in the codebase using AI tools.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Next.js 15 (App Router) and TypeScript.
• Experience with tRPC, PostgreSQL and pgvector via Drizzle ORM, and Zod.
• Experience with NextAuth.js and Keycloak (OIDC/OAuth2).
• Experience with Tailwind and shadcn/ui.
• Comfort with Docker, Azure Container Apps, Terragrunt, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with schema- and metadata-driven system design, including per-role schema overlays across multiple distinct roles rather than off-the-shelf RBAC.
• Experience with JSONB-based PostgreSQL modeling.
• Strong code review skills focused on authorization and access control.
• Experience integrating multiple third-party APIs and handling partial failures gracefully.
• Upper-Intermediate / B2+ English proficiency for client-facing communication.
• Availability for full-time work, 40 hours per week.
• Located in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural decisions for a large, actively evolving codebase in a compliance- and finance-sensitive domain, including KYC/KYB, rewards and points, and card issuance.
• Extend the generic-entity and schema system without regressions.
• Lead integration work with external providers, including SmartSearch, Salesforce, Xero, Pannovate, and SendGrid.
• Review code with a security-first focus, particularly for permission and access-control gaps.
• Maintain the project's Memory Bank and feature-level documentation practices.
• Participate in on-call and production support.
• Manage the DevOps part of the project.
• As the role matures, mentor other engineers and set technical guardrails for non-engineering contributors working directly in the codebase via AI tools.
