About The Position

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Remix engineering team, you’ll build software cities rely on to design and improve public transportation systems with a focus on access, equity, and long term sustainability. You’ll partner closely with designers, product managers, and customers, owning features end to end from concept to production while shaping what we build and how we build it. Our stack includes Typescript with React and Mapbox, plus Rails, Python, and Postgres with PostGIS, but we care most about strong full stack fundamentals and a user-centered approach to building products. This is a hybrid position with the expectation that you will be onsite in NYC 2-3 days a week.

Requirements

You have at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in full-stack, user-centric development.

Nice To Haves

Experience in developing complex React applications is a plus, but not required
Experience with geospatial or mapping technologies is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Work on improving our planning products to help planners explore new concepts, make informed decisions with data, and rally people around their vision
Work with customers to understand user needs, and then build to address those needs
Work with a variety of technologies across our stack for different projects, all to deliver great end-to-end user experience
Contribute to discussions about engineering best practices and architecture within your relevant area of expertise
Build and maintain our processes and tools, to keep our productivity and code quality high
