  • Ability to work in a hybrid role with onsite days in Seattle, WA

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare startup, digital health, clinical workflow, EHR integration, or health-data platform experience
  • Experience building software for patient-facing, provider-facing, healthcare operations, or clinical workflow applications
  • Familiarity with patient education platforms, patient engagement tools, messaging systems, notifications, or user engagement tracking
  • Experience with high-throughput messaging platforms or event-driven architectures
  • Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Tailwind CSS expertise
  • Experience contributing to system design in fast-moving product engineering environments

Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust TypeScript and Node.js services supporting EHR integrations, clinical workflows, patient engagement, and healthcare platform functionality
  • Develop React and TypeScript interfaces for provider-facing and patient-facing applications optimized for desktop and mobile experiences
  • Build reliable product features that connect backend services, user-facing workflows, clinical data systems, and patient engagement tools
  • Support engineering work across healthcare applications, EHR-integrated care platforms, patient education workflows, notifications, tracking, and related digital health use cases
  • Deploy and operate microservices on AWS using containerization and cloud-native engineering practices
  • Design and implement RESTful or event-driven APIs using Node.js frameworks such as Nest or Express
  • Support scalable backend architecture involving distributed services, concurrency, system reliability, and production infrastructure
  • Debug issues across distributed services, API layers, frontend applications, and cloud environments
  • Build responsive React and TypeScript interfaces for healthcare users, providers, patients, and internal product workflows
  • Develop integrations with patient education and patient engagement vendors, including notification systems and engagement tracking
  • Optimize application experiences across mobile and desktop environments
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to translate healthcare workflow requirements into maintainable product features
  • Contribute to code reviews, system-design discussions, technical planning, and architecture decisions
  • Balance engineering quality, maintainability, and startup-speed execution in a product-focused environment
  • Apply strong computer science fundamentals to solve backend, frontend, distributed systems, and performance challenges
  • Collaborate through hybrid engineering workflows with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality healthcare technology solutions
