About The Position

Peraton is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to support our Federal Strategic Cyber program. In this role, you will lead and execute end-to-end software development, leveraging frameworks like Angular to build responsive user interfaces while architecting robust Java/Python backend services and cloud environments. This position is located in Arlington, VA, and offers a hybrid telework/remote work environment, with the requirement to come on-site as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Proven software development experience spanning the entire lifecycle, including proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, Angular, Java, and Python (and/or other modern development languages).
Robust experience developing, integrating, and working with web APIs.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, as well as AI models for potential work on integration into current tools and platforms.
Practical experience using tools like Atlassian JIRA, Jenkins Continuous Integration, and Git repositories.
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must possess an active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation to start and for continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Deep development experience specifically focused within the Angular framework ecosystem.
Experience working within SAFe Agile testing environments.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD Test Automation Pipeline & Reporting.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, document, and maintain both front-end (utilizing Angular and other modern frameworks) and back-end software applications.
Lead the creation and implementation of custom web applications tailored to evolving client requirements.
Analyze and design databases, and assist in architecting scalable cloud-based environments, working independently or collaboratively.
Evaluate and support the integration of AI models and advanced capabilities into current tools and platforms.
Address complex challenges related to systems integration, platform compatibility, and multi-environment deployment.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced development environment, supporting additional application areas as team priorities shift.
Troubleshoot software issues, implement improvements based on user feedback, and contribute to the development of user manuals and technical documentation.
