About The Position

In this role on the Equity Trading engineering team, you will produce high-quality, testable code for sophisticated trading products and efficiently deploy them onto AWS. You and the engineers you lead will write code that will be used in products and capabilities used by Equity Trading desks in Boston, London and Hong Kong processing billions of dollars’ worth of trades. You bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the 'why' and the 'value' of an activity or task.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a full stack software engineer, delivering software using agile development practices
  • Object Oriented development experience, ideally with Java
  • Exposure to coding in more than one programming language.
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks that support all types of testing (unit, component, integration, system etc.) executed through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field
  • Deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation.
  • Awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, such as Scala / Akka / Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
  • Demonstrate a test-driven approach to developing software
  • Experiences in some of the following technologies continuous integration/delivery frameworks such as GITHUB, Jenkins.
  • Experience using GitHub Co-Pilot
  • Experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems.
  • Know, understand and promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery engineering practices.

  • Java, Spring Boot, Scala, Angular, JavaScript, WPF, C#, SQL and PL/SQL
