Join Viasat Government - Secure Network Systems (SNS) as a full-stack software engineer in the developing networking and cyber security products for diverse customer based. You will join a dynamic, multi-functional team that not only develop application but also designs, tests and supports their services. You will develop software to support seamless management of networking and cybersecurity products and emerging cryptographic solutions. This role will enable you to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle, from initial design through to successful implementation and ongoing support. As an software engineer, you’ll be a member of a agile team responsible for the manager applications for multiple product lines. You’ll be working with modern Web application development using the latest tools and technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field
A minimum 5 years of professional experience with web application development using Java or Kotlin
3-5 years of professional experience with Spring and/or Spring boot
Experience with using database technology such as PostgreSQL
Ability to travel up to 10%
Ability to obtain US Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

US citizenship and active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance.
Ability to apply AI
Containerization with Docker or equivalent
Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTCONF)
Good oral and written communications skills
Ability to quickly learn and use new information and handle complicated tasks
Prior experience using Python
Experience with automated unit and integration testing

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies.
Engage with multi-functional teams in designing, building, testing and deploying new features.
Write and review secure, maintainable, and efficient code.
Engage in team reviews and actively participate in team's development.
Linux OS use, for development environment
Ability to plan, track and report on progress
Triage and prioritize issues
Mentor and guide team members
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
