Senior Full Stack Engineer - Customer Service
About The Position
Skylight is a technology startup building the OS of the family. It makes Skylight Calendar, a smart calendar used by millions of families, and recently launched Calendar 2. The company is bootstrapped, profitable, and has grown to more than $300 million in annual revenue. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will build reliable, delightful customer experiences and products that make life easier. The role works closely with Customer Success and Engineering to identify and address common customer pain points and improve the internal tools and systems used by the Customer Success team. The engineer will design and maintain robust APIs, integrate with third parties, streamline customer workflows, and investigate bugs, while seeking straightforward technical solutions to complex problems. The position calls for experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React/React Native, a strong engineering foundation, and a commitment to improving core systems and delivering excellent customer outcomes. The role offers substantial autonomy to shape work and improve systems.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React/React Native.
- Strong engineering foundation.
- Track record implementing, testing, and maintaining reliable backend services.
- Experience owning projects end to end.
- Strong communication skills in code and in human language.
- Ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to improving customer experience and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
