About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to work across the company's established and next-generation product platforms. The role includes maintaining BusPlanner Pro and existing web applications used by school districts, while also building a modern platform with APIs, front ends, a unified data model, cloud-native architecture, and an integrated AI assistant. The developer will use Claude Code as a primary development environment and contribute to the agentic-development practices used across the team. This includes creating and improving architecture and convention documentation, skills, agents, and workflows, and verifying agent-produced work. The role also contributes to technical direction and code quality across both platforms and helps mentor the team through reviews and pairing.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional software development experience, with senior-level ownership taking features from ambiguous requests through design, build, release, and support.
  • Deep C#/.NET experience with .NET Framework and ASP.NET MVC, as well as modern .NET and ASP.NET Core.
  • Professional C++ experience and ability to work productively in a large, long-lived production C++ codebase.
  • Strong SQL Server skills, including schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query and index performance tuning on production databases.
  • Production React and TypeScript experience building real applications.
  • Daily use of Claude Code as the primary development tool.
  • Ability to demonstrate Claude Code practices, such as CLAUDE.md files, custom skills or commands, subagents, MCP servers, hooks, parallel sessions or worktrees, and methods for verifying agent output.
  • Experience building agentic workflows beyond individual use, such as Claude Code in CI/CD pipelines, automated review, or spec-driven or multi-agent development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building AI product features, including LLM integrations, tool use, retrieval, or agent-based functionality using application data.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS experience, including tenant isolation and enterprise customer requirements.
  • Kubernetes and Docker experience.
  • IBM Cloud experience, or strong Azure or AWS experience.
  • Background in fleet, transportation, telematics, GPS, routing, or logistics software.
  • Experience supporting both self-hosted and cloud-hosted deployments of the same product.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the core platform's business logic, web applications, and databases, including performance tuning and production fixes across the full stack.
  • Design and build end-to-end features for the next-generation platform across APIs, modern web front ends, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Use Claude Code as the primary development environment and build and improve the CLAUDE.md files, skills, agents, and workflows used by the team.
  • Contribute to design decisions across the core and next-generation platforms.
  • Review code and uphold quality standards, including reviewing AI-generated code.
  • Mentor team members through code review, pairing, and demonstrating AI-first development practices.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Full health and wellness benefits.
  • Flexible work hours and a remote-friendly setup.
  • Full access to Claude Code and modern AI tooling, with autonomy to shape how the team uses it.
  • Collaborative team culture focused on modernizing software used by drivers, parents, and school districts.
