About The Position

Phoenix is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join their Y Combinator backed startup in downtown Toronto. The role involves working closely with the cofounders to build out both the patient and physician sides of their telehealth platform. The ideal candidate is a passionate, mission-driven engineer who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving complex workflows, and is comfortable with both backend and frontend development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional programming experience
• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Are comfortable in at least one modern Javascript front-end framework (ideally React)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cloud Platforms is a nice to have (ideally AWS)
• You are passionate about improving the Canadian healthcare experience and have a personal connection to the space

Responsibilities

• Creating software features that are robust, reliable, and user-friendly for both internal teams and our customers
• Has experience thoroughly testing and deploying their own code
• Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative environment
