About The Position

Vynyl is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead work across the software development lifecycle, from conceptual design through deployment and monitoring. The role focuses on building scalable backend services with Python and AWS serverless technologies, developing event-sourced systems with complete state history and auditability, and contributing to full-stack applications using Vue.js and TypeScript. The developer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teammates to deliver client solutions, often in regulated industries. Candidates should be fluent in modern AI-assisted development tools and able to discuss their limitations, security implications, ethical considerations, and strategic opportunities. The interview process will include discussion and demonstration of practical AI tool usage, understanding of AI limitations, perspectives on AI’s effect on engineering, and how the engineering role may evolve. The role is offered with a salary range of $140,000–$175,000. Full-time employee benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401(k) plan with an annual 4% employer match. Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter. The hiring process includes an initial screening email, technical assessment, interview, and panel interview.
