About The Position

At Cito, we're building CERA AI – an AI agent that automates real logistics processes: from processing incoming emails and negotiating prices to transferring transport orders. Real processes. Real customers. Real impact. This isn't an AI side project or prototype. You'll work on an AI system that automates real business processes for real customers. We don't want someone who simply works through a backlog. You'll have room to shape architecture, technology and the future of the product. We're a fast-moving team where technical decisions don't disappear behind multiple layers of approval. We're looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our team – not a short-term outsourcing resource.

Requirements

6–8+ years of experience in software engineering
Ideally, hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based products or systems
Strong Python skills, ideally with Django or a comparable framework
Experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude or similar
Understanding of AI system design beyond simply integrating an API
Experience with evaluation methods, monitoring and observability
Ability to think in systems rather than individual features
Strong understanding of the trade-offs between speed, reliability and quality
High level of ownership and ability to work independently
A pragmatic mindset: you like building, shipping and improving real products
Professional working proficiency in English

Responsibilities

Take ownership of key parts of our AI and software architecture
Design and develop scalable AI agent systems, including multi-step reasoning, decision pipelines and tool use
Build and improve our LLM-based systems, including prompting, tooling, memory and orchestration
Ensure reliability and quality of AI outputs through evaluation, monitoring and guardrails
Build observability and evaluation frameworks, including regression testing for AI systems
Work closely with Product and Business to turn real operational problems into scalable technical solutions
Make technical decisions with long-term impact on architecture, stack and scalability
Ship solutions that are actually used by customers
