About The Position
The role involves building the user interface for an "AI colleague" product, specifically focusing on the "Pulse" communication layer of an Autonomous Health System. The goal is to create a seamless experience where messaging an AI feels like messaging a human colleague, with features like real-time, HIPAA-compliant, deviceless communication, and complex data visualization. The engineering team uses AI for code generation and focuses on specifying, evaluating, and debugging. Engineers work in empowered teams embedded with product and design, emphasizing shared ownership and no handoffs.
Requirements
- 7+ years building production frontend applications people actually use
- Experience with real users struggling with mistakes and learning from them
- Deep experience with data visualization and complex interactive interfaces
- Obsession with details that separate broken from inevitable
- Strong opinions on performance, accessibility, micro-interactions
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience
- Real-time collaborative interfaces (chat, multiplayer, live dashboards)
- A design sensibility — experience arguing with designers and sometimes being right
